This Summer was full of crazy adventures, we did the Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay Race with Russell's family. Our team name is Run Baby Run! We all wore adult diapers. Russell was alot more brave and wore it the entire time. He was pretty much a celebrity. So many runners would come up and ask to take his picture and also want one with him! Russell made our team laugh all through the race even when it was 4 in the morning! He was my cheerleader for sure! I didn't have as much energy this race as I did the year before but I made it through it! I have no idea how I ran this race feeling the way I did! I was so tired all the time and we couldn't figure out why! I had many tests done and all showed up negative. So I just brushed it a side and didn't think anymore on it, even though I was miserable. After the race was over the next night Russell woke up in excurciating pain in his shoulders. It was about 1 am and I just told him to take Ibprofen and I will massage your shoulders. He said massaging wasn't even helping because it wasn't the surface that was hurting, it was deep down! I thought that was weird but didn't think to much on it. So, we just thought maybe it's his asthma or something. He went and took a shower and let the hot water run on his shoulders and neck, because by this time his neck was hurting. He came out of the shower and was even more miserable! When he told me he could feel it moving up his neck that's when I jumped out of bed and went to get my dad. Oh yeah I forgot to mention, we were living with them at the time, thankfully! My did who is a family doctor came in and was asking him if his chest hurts and was checking him over. He gave him a blessings and told us if the pain moves to his chest then to come get him and we will take him to the ER! All I could think of was...Heart attack?! But, my dad wouldn't say anything else. So we layed there and I can tell you right now, I have never ever seen him in so much pain in my life. Moaning and groaing, moving all over the place to find a more comfortable position to lay. I felt so bad! I couldn't do a thing! Then, all of a sudden I hear him say, "It's in my chest". I jumped up so fast and ran into my parent's room and before we knew it we were at the ER. Oh, I forgot to mention, Russell also had an allergic reaction to sun block during the race. His face looked like "Hitch", off the movie ya know? His ears, nose, mouth chin, eyes, were swollen huge! When they took him back to the room they hooked him up and they looked at him and said, "do you want ys to get him on an IV for hi face?" Russell was taking benedryl all day after the race and next and the swelling wasn't going down at all. But, right when they stuck that IV in him I just watched his face shrink back to normal! We still needed to figure out the bad chest pain though. They took Xrays and they said they were looking for "air bubbles" in the lungs. Now, this made me panic just a little! If one of those air bubbles got to his heart he will be dead. These are very common in athletes and runners. Everything Russell described led right to the that. When we got the xrays back there was nothing, no sign of an air bubble anywhere! Once again, I see the work of the Lord. I'm so grateful for priesthood blessings! They sent him home drugged up on morphine for the pain and all they could say now that there was just inflammation in his chest cavity. Much better news then the stupid air bubbles! I told myself I am NEVER running again! No more Ragnar for awhile!
Then we get the news that Russell's brother Adam (from our other half of our team) won us a team to the Vegas Ragnar this October! I was excited for him and the team. I just was not excited to run again! So, Russell and I went over our budget to see if we could afford the hotel, food, and transportation. (Raganar was only paying for the team to race not the other expenses, just to make that clear) Turned out that we couldn't. Secretly I was kind of glad because I knew I would not have energy to start training rigt after the Wasatch Back! So, we let the family know the bad news and they were sad of course, because they wouldn't be seeing Russell run in a diaper. ;) a month passed and the team already had been training for a month and had about 2 1/2 months before Vegas!
Then one day Russell's brother Adam (Russell also works for Adam) told Russell that he will pay for us to go to Vegas and cover all the expenses. He said it will be his Christmas bonus! When Russell gave me the news, of course I was excited! But I new I couldn't run feeling the way I did! I could barely wake up passed 11am and I would still not feel rested. I had to think about it for a day or two. I finally made up my mind that I would because I didn't want to let the team down or my husband! (even though Russell said I wouldn't and that I did not have to, it was entirely up to me) So I put on my running shoes.
These are pics of WASATCH BACK, Utah. I will blog about Vegas in another post with pics:)

Part 1 of 2011
I thought I would catch you up on the pass few months of this year. I have been contimplating on if I wanted to share this on here but I figured it has been long enough that I can and that it isn't something I never want to talk about. Because, I know there are other women out there who have been through the same ordeal as me and maybe my experience may shed some light? I hope.
Back in October of 2010 we found out I was pregnant! So many thoughts went through my head, am I ready? Will I be a good mom? Do we make enough money? We've only been married 8 months! I then felt comfort and peace after kneeling down and praying to my Father in Heaven. I felt a calming and an excitment of joy after. I was going to be mom! December rolled around and my dad being a doctor I had him bring home a fetal doppler so I could hear the heart beat because I was counting down the days to hear it! I was more excited for that then Christmas! On Christmas Eve I got to hear the heart beat of our baby! It was so amazing! I had life inside me! I was able to make an appointment in January to go see the baby on an Ultra Sound. Russell and I were waiting in the waiting room January 7th and I remember I had a bad feeling. But, why? I just heard the heart beat not long ago! So I brushed it aside. We were called back and the tech told me to lay down on the bed. I was sweating, my heart was pounding! I'm finally going to see my baby! When she had put all the cold goo stuff and the whatcha-ma-call-it. (I forgot what it's called ) on my stomache right away I knew my baby was gone because there was absolutely no sound of a heart beat. I couldn't see the screen yet because she had moved it so I wouldn't see. But I knew. Russell sat across from me and I could see his face. Then, I knew for certain. I started to cry and the tech turned to me and said she will be right back. Man, the movies have it right down to a T! She came back in and told me she called my doctor and the radiologist. She said it looked like I was 13 weeeks along. But could not be certain because there was a ball looking thing half the size of the baby right next to it.
We went and talked to my doc and discussed the options. We decided it was best that I would have surgery to remove the baby. My doc reffered me to an OB to have the precedure done. Three days later I was in the hospital. After being at the hospital for 7 hours I was finally done. The surgery didn't take that long it was just all the blood taking, filling out papers, ultra sounds that took most of the time. The procedure was only a half hour! I was finally able to go home. They told me I was going to feel like crap because my hormones are going to change and my body will just feel off for awhile. A month later I didn't feel any different then the day I went into surgery! I thought, I must have AWESOME hormones and that I'm lucky...
Russell and I planned a trip to Hawaii a month after the surgery and got the OK from the Doc and so off we went to Kauai. The trip went fine until 2 days before we had to go home I didn't like what I saw in my swim suit and how much I saw of it either. When we got home I called the OB who did my surgery but no OBs were in because they were all at a conference. So The PA told me to come in right away to do an ultra sound. She said it looked like it was just that time of month and to keep coming back in for blood work because my HCG levels were still high, high as in 215. Normal is 5... So that following Friday were in SLC at a monster truck show thing at the Energy Solutions Center when I started feeling really bad.... So I went to the restroom and this time I panicked. I called my dad and said I'm losing alot of blood. He told us to meet him and my mom and MckayDee Hospital right away. So my sweet heroic hubby puts his foot on the gas pedal and we don't even make it to the interstate because we got pulled over. Of course.
And yes we got a ticket.
So we make it to the hospital and they get me in and hooked up to IVs and all that fun stuff.. and I get another ultra sound ( a more thorough one)and they take me back for surgery again! I almost had to have a blood transfusion during surgery because.. well I won't go into detail. There were just two blood veins that were just bleeding freely to put more clearly and less gruesome..
I woke up and I felt horrible.. I had to stay over night just in case. I looked over and there was my sweetheart asleep on the sofa in the hospital room. That night I didn't sleep a wink. Everytime I would close my eyes I would jolt back awake. Probably from the morphine? Well I was exhausted, my husband and parents. They took me home and I was finally able to sleep. I was finally able to move on. I'm so thankful I had a loving husband by my side and loving parents too. They all took such good care of me. I'm So thankful I was able to receive priesthood blessings and to heal. I learned so much from this trial and I know God has a plan for me and that I have been made stronger because of this.
I was so glad to be done with hospitals and thought our trials were over... so I thought.. stay tuned for my next blog. I have to go make dinner! :)

Russell + Halloween = BEST homemade costumes EvEr!
I never really cared for Halloween when I was single. Yeah, I would dress up (sometimes) and go hang out with friends or go to a haunted house. That all changed when I got married! Russell LOVES Halloween, I'm talking, He loves the smells, the social parties, the Halloween party food, Candy (chocolate mostly) and most of all, the costume contests!!! I know I married a good one, when later I found out he was pretty heart broken that we didn't dress up for Halloween while we were engaged for our FIRST HALLOWEEN. Instead we spent it, Thriller!!! Of course, he agreed to take his fiance to this because I never been to it before! He never said a peep about not wanting to go, he just went a long for the ride! What a sweetie. So ever since I found out how "heart broken" he was over our first Halloween experience, I kinda let him have free reign on Halloween. Man, I sure did marry a good one.. After all my whining and complaining I finally let him dress me up. We were Iron man and Iron Woman for our first "MARRIED" Halloween and then we were Thor and Sif this year. Yeah, don't feel bad if you dont know who Sif is. I didn't know either until I was told she is part of his warrior, clan, thing or another... Enjoy the pics :)
